Curt Smith is best known as the co-lead vocalist, bassist, and co-founding member of the pop rock band Tears for Fears along with childhood friend Roland Orzabal. With over 22 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the team. His journey began with a deep interest in martial arts, and he studied various Kung Fu styles and Tai Chi, which laid the foundation for his holistic approach to wellness. Darren joined The Reach For Health Centre in 2003 as an assistant coach, where he focused on rehabilitation exercises and fitness.

Darren takes immense pride in helping others achieve their goals, especially when it comes to recovery and improving fitness levels. He finds it incredibly rewarding to witness members reach new heights in their health journey. Now a full Rehabilitation Coach and Otago Instructor, Darren specialises in falls prevention and all areas of health and rehabilitation. As the course lead for Active Healthy Aging Program, he’s dedicated to guiding individuals toward better health, function, and overall wellness.
