About this listen

Welcome to the third episode of The Listening Way.  In this episode, Dusk is joined by Nathan Scolaro.

Nathan is the Editor of Dumbo Feather Magazine and Head of Storytelling at Small Giants Academy. Nathan’s way of being in the world is hearing people into truth, through meaningful conversations and storytelling. Nathan is a lover of language, poetry and story, and is particularly enthralled by the role they each play in shaping culture and enlivening the self. He hails from Western Australia, where he first experienced the joy of putting together a magazine, and now indulges his passion for thoughtful, life-giving storytelling by helping bring Dumbo Feather magazine into the world every few months, as well as curating their website content and fortnightly podcast.

In the episode we discover:

  • The gift & comfort of deep soul chats
  • How deep listening leads to connection and healing
  • Allowing nature and the land to support and hear you
  • Cultivating openness and presence in conversations
  • Contemplating safety in listening and storytelling
  • Listening with intentional energy

Thank you for listening!

The Listening Way is a love letter to listening. It holds contemplative conversations on how listening shapes our way of being in the world. The podcast uncovers the different ways that we listen and invites us to practice them again. Hosted by Dusk Liney from The Listening Squad, where we dream of a listening revolution where every person is heard.

Let’s reclaim the lost art of listening.
