 Pastor Malachi Mitchell, born and raised in San Diego, has walked a remarkable journey—from acting and modeling to city service, and now a powerful voice in ministry. In 1996, during one of the darkest times of his life, he experienced a spiritual awakening where God changed his name from Anthony Mitchell to Malachi—a name he’s affectionately known by today.

Licensed and ordained since 1984, he has served as youth pastor and co-pastor at Good Samaritan of San Diego Church alongside his family. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Together with his wife Christine, he founded Life’s Word Ministry to reach, teach, and restore hope—helping families heal, empowering the broken, and inspiring lives to change through the truth of God’s Word.

    When God Seems Silent

    Scripture: Psalm 13:1 — “How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?”

    There are moments when you pray faithfully… consistently… earnestly… and it feels like heaven is quiet. No clear answer. No visible shift. No immediate change. And in that silence, doubt tries to creep in.

    Faith does not mean you know the outcome. It means you trust the One who controls the outcome.
