  • Candlelight Service 2025: Sermon - Anticipation has Arrived
    Dec 22 2025

When Jesus was born, God chose to announce His arrival to shepherds - society's outcasts and lowest class. This wasn't accidental but intentional, showing that Jesus came for ordinary people, not the proud and powerful. The angels proclaimed Jesus as Savior, Christ, and Lord, giving the shepherds a sign to find Him in a manger among their own community. Just as shepherds faithfully cared for their flocks 24/7, Jesus serves as our Good Shepherd, knowing us personally, providing for our needs, and pursuing us with unfailing love. The Christmas story reminds us that Jesus is accessible to everyone and calls us to surrender not just to Him as Savior, but as Lord of our lives.

  • Sunday Service: The Christmas Journey (Anticipation from Within) - Pastor Bob Leahey
    Dec 14 2025

Christmas anticipation goes beyond excitement for gifts - it reflects the supernatural stirring God places in our hearts when He's preparing us for His purposes. Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, and the shepherds each experienced this divine anticipation differently, moving from initial fear or confusion to faith and obedience. God continues to work through dreams, heart stirrings, and supernatural promptings today. He gives us just enough revelation to take the next step, often using humble and unexpected people to accomplish His plans. We should live with daily expectation, asking what God wants to do through us and responding in faith when we sense His stirring within.

  • Sunday Service: The Christmas Journey (Anticipation from Afar) - Pastor Jeff Young
    Dec 7 2025

The Bible contains over 300 specific prophecies about the Messiah written centuries before Jesus was born. When examining just eight of these prophecies, the statistical probability of one person fulfilling them all is 1 in 100 quadrillion. These prophecies include Jesus being born in Bethlehem, born of a virgin, preceded by John the Baptist, betrayed for thirty pieces of silver, and riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. Jesus couldn't have manipulated most of these circumstances, as they were completely outside human control. The mathematical precision of these fulfilled prophecies provides overwhelming evidence that Jesus is the true Messiah.

  • Sunday Service: Youth Sunday - Advent (Hope, Peace, Joy, Love)
    Nov 30 2025

This Youth Sunday sermon focused on the beginning of Advent, with youth leaders sharing about the four themes of Advent: hope, peace, joy, and love. Fiona introduced Advent as a 1600-year-old Christian tradition that teaches us to slow down and reflect on God's faithfulness during the busy Christmas season. The word Advent comes from Latin meaning 'coming' or 'arrival,' preparing us to celebrate both Jesus's birth and His promised return. Four students then shared personal testimonies and biblical insights about each Advent theme - Ava spoke about hope as confident expectation in God's promises, Peyton shared about peace through her healing testimony from anxiety, Sawyer explained biblical joy as a gift from God that remains regardless of circumstances, and Drew discussed agape love as God's undeserving love for us while we were still sinners. The service emphasized that the church is one body working together across all ages, with youth being an integral part of ministry rather than just recipients of it.

  • Sunday Service: Lakes are Monuments, Rivers are Movements - Pastor Jeff Young
    Nov 23 2025

The prophet Ezekiel received a powerful vision of a valley filled with dry bones that came to life when God breathed His Spirit into them. This vision came during Israel's darkest hour after Jerusalem's destruction, when the people felt spiritually dead and hopeless. God commanded Ezekiel to speak prophetically to the bones, and they assembled into bodies, but they still needed God's breath to truly live. This teaches us that many people around us may appear fine externally but are spiritually lifeless, desperately needing God's Spirit. As believers, we're called to be part of God's army, speaking life into dead situations through authentic relationships and bold faith. The vision also shows us the difference between being a lake church versus a river church - one that creates movement and transformation rather than just providing spiritual comfort.

  • Sunday Service: Audacious Faith (Bold, Daring, Adventurous) - Pastor Jeff Young
    Nov 17 2025

Audacious faith goes beyond quiet belief to bold, daring trust in God's promises even when circumstances suggest otherwise. Like biblical heroes such as Abraham, Noah, and Moses, believers today are called to step beyond what makes sense and embrace God's calling. King Josiah exemplifies this by completely eliminating everything in his kingdom that opposed God, making no room for distractions. Jeremiah's prophetic purchase of land during enemy occupation demonstrates faith in God's future promises despite present difficulties. We are called to unearth our buried audacious faith and trust God's provision over our circumstances.

  • Sunday Service: Love Thy Neighbor (As Yourself?) - Pastor Chris Reyes
    Nov 11 2025

The Great Commandment to love your neighbor as yourself assumes you already love yourself well. Many struggle with self-love because they've accepted false substitutes like possessiveness, dependency, or self-neglect instead of true biblical love. True love is a volitional choice that seeks genuine good regardless of merit or cost. To love yourself properly, you must see yourself through God's eyes, forgive yourself for past mistakes, take personal responsibility for your actions and healing, set healthy boundaries, and develop a theology of self-care. When you understand your worth to God and care for yourself authentically, you can love others from a place of wholeness rather than neediness.

  • Sunday Service: Love Thy Neighbor (The Call) - Pastor Jeff Young
    Nov 3 2025

In a world growing increasingly dark and divided, followers of Jesus are called to love others even when culture grows colder. Despite America's wealth and education, statistics reveal deep brokenness: rising suicide rates, widespread loneliness, and increasing lawlessness. However, believers can combat this darkness through seven practical ways: knowing names and stories, being present and available, meeting tangible needs, practicing hospitality, encouraging others, praying faithfully, and loving sacrificially. Like Isaiah who responded to God's call with 'Here am I! Send me!' we don't need perfect qualifications—just willingness to be used by God to bring His love to a hurting world.
