Doug Goist may have lost his sight at 18 years old but he never lost his vision for a full life.  As Program Manager for NSITE and the goalie for the blind ice hockey for Team USA, Doug lives the life he reimagined.  Listen in to learn more about the future of employment for persons with blindness and how Doug and his teammates are creating a future for blind ice hockey as a Paralympic sport.

In 2019 I had the pleasure of interviewing him for another podcast and since starting out on my own, decided to reconnect with him earlier this  year to interview him for my new podcast.  While editing, I recently discovered that David had passed in April 2022.  This was one of his last interviews.

David was kind, smart, funny and I truly enjoyed his conversations if only virtually. David was bright and big plans for 2022.  My heart goes out to his family and friends with deepest sympathy.

Bad Papi Miami is a bold and colorfully expressive individual who now knows who they are and where they are headed. This trans, queer and disabled drag artist talks about getting their diagnosis and finding themselves through their drag art and finding their village.  There are many similar stigmas and traumas that the disability community and LGTBQ+ communities experience and Bad Papi Miami discusses how they have navigated through it and are creating a community of acceptance, accessibility, and inclusion. Only then can we truly heal and find out peace and purpose!

John Cronin dreamed of owning a business with his dad, Mark.  He was inspired by the film Chef by Jon Favreau. His love for crazy socks set these two entrepreneurs on a five-year journey with no end in sight.  John's Crazy Socks sells over 4000 sock designs, most that are designed by John himself! Besides being an business owner, John is also and parathlete and plays several sports.

Most importantly, John and Mark give back as philanthropists, donating to the Special Olympics and other charity partners.

So many times children with terminal disabilities are busy with sick days and doctor appointments and don't have time to be a kid. Their parents and siblings are also a part of this journey, never taking time to just breathe.
