In today’s episode, we will be interviewing Michael Wooldridge. He was educated at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) where he was awarded a PhD in 1991. He is now Head of Department and Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford and a senior researcher at Hertford College. Before this, he was a professor of CS at the University of Liverpool for 12 years. He has also been chair for the 19th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence, held in Lisbon. Last year, he was awarded the Lovelace Medal from the British Computer Society and in 2006, he was also awarded the ACM Autonomous Agents Research Award.
