Negli anni 70, nelle stazioni ferroviarie, si trovavano delle speciali cabine simili a quelle per farsi le fototessere che però non servivano a immortalare immagini, ma per registrare dei dischi da 45 giri in vinile. Un minuto di registrazione per spedire quello che in fondo oggi riconosciamo essere l'antenato di un messaggio vocale, o per provare il brivido di incidere una canzone su disco, come fecero un giovane Elvis Presley e un Battiato ancora imberbe.
