Attraverso il mito olimpico, Hitler dissimula la sua reale volontà di trascinare, di lì a tre anni, il mondo nell'abisso del secondo conflitto mondiale. Eppure, a Berlino il vero protagonista sarà un atleta afroamericano, il fenomenale Jesse Owens. L'Italia fascista cerca di tener testa alla Germania. Ci riuscirà solo in parte, col disappunto del Duce , ma si regalerà almeno lo storico oro di Ondina Valla.
