• Arsenal Women Win The Champions League
    May 27 2025

After 18 long years, the wait is over. Arsenal Women are Champions League winners once more 🏆

In this emotional episode, I reflect on the unforgettable journey to Lisbon and what this historic triumph means for the players, the club, and the fans.💫

From a season that started in turmoil to a fairytale finish under interim-turned-hero Renee Slegers, Arsenal’s road to glory was anything but smooth. But in true Gunners fashion, they rose above every obstacle. Including defeating reigning champions Barcelona 1–0 in a final for the ages. 🔴⚪

Let's celebrate Stina Blackstenius’ third consecutive match-winning final goal, Leah Williamson’s perfect positioning, and the resurgence of loanee Chloe Kelly. We also honour the leadership of Kim Little, the rise of Daphne van Domselaar, and the quiet brilliance of a manager who changed everything. 💥

This victory, and episode, are about more than just a trophy. It’s about resilience, belief, identity. So let’s relive every moment, every comeback, and every bit of magic that made this season unforgettable.

North London forever. Whatever the weather. ❤️

  • How Renée Slegers Turned Arsenal Women’s Season Around
    Nov 25 2024

In this jam-packed episode of Ladies In Red, we dive into a transformative period for Arsenal Women under interim manager Renée Slegers. ⚽❤️

First up, we celebrate our dominant 3-0 WSL victory over Spurs in the North London Derby. Goals from Alessia Russo, Frida Maanum, and Stina Blackstenius 🔥 ensured bragging rights. Is it enough to get our league campaign on track though?

Finally, I reflect on the incredible impact of Renée Slegers as interim manager:

💡 Tactical tweaks bringing stability and creativity.

🎯 Empowering players like Lina Hurtig and re-energising leaders like Kim Little and Leah Williamson.

✨ A near-perfect record since taking charge: 6 wins, 1 draw, and only 2 goals conceded.

💬 Cultural shifts that have reignited belief among players and fans alike.
