La publicación en 1785 de la compilación “Theatro Hespañol” de Vicente García de la Huerta levantó mucha polémica en su época por la particular selección que hizo el autor. Juan Antonio Rios Carratalá ha investigado sobre los motivos que le llevan a desprestigiar a Lope de Vega y nos adentra en el enfrentamiento público que tuvo con los intelectuales de finales del s.XVIII y hasta nuestros días. Esteve Ferrer nos presenta la ópera que Mozart compuso aquel año, 1785. “Las bodas de Fígaro” se estrenó en 1786 con gran éxito y cierta polémica pues el libro de Beaumarchais en el que se inspira fue prohibido en Francia.
