    தென்காசியோடு இணைந்திருந்த அன்றைய திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டத்தில் “தலைவன் கோட்டை” என்ற சிற்றூரில் பிறந்து, தனது அன்பான தந்தையின் அரவணைப்பில் செல்வச் செழிப்போடு வளர்ந்த பெண்ணொருத்தி, தன் பிறந்த மண்ணின் பெருமையையும், தன் தந்தையின் பெருமையையும், தன் புகுந்த வீட்டில் தான் அனுபவித்த வலிகளையும் வேதனைகளையும் இங்கு பதிவு செய்கிறாள். அவள் கதறி அழுத கண்ணீர்த்துளி இங்கு வரிகளாகி வடிகின்றன
