  • Carrie Zazz talks with DJ Jazzy Kat
    Jan 13 2026

Carrie Zazzarino fell in love with music the first time she heard a Beatle album! She formed The Carrie Zazz Band in 2017 to fulfill her life-long dream to play music. While her favorite genre of music is rock and roll, her earliest influences were classic country music artists, which is evident in her unique style and sound.

Her true love of harmonies is influential in her song choices and it is no mistake that all members of the Band are strong vocalists, bringing the harmonies and songs to life. The enjoyment of singing along with an audience, playing someone's "favorite song" and making people happy is a driving force behind her love of performing.

She is known for her audience engagement, singing "in" the audience and getting the whole room involved in a show.

  • EverydayOutlaw With DJ Jazzy Kat On Katztracks.com
    Dec 10 2025

Hailing from Truckee, California, Everyday Outlaw delivers hard-hitting, modern outlaw country steeped in grit, heartache, and raw honesty. With a sound built on songwriting craft and analog warmth, they channel the spirit of the legends — think Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Sturgill Simpson — while forging their own path through the backroads of Americana.

Their songs dig into the darker corners of love, loss, and life on the edge, with a voice that’s unflinching and unfiltered. Whether in a barroom dive or on a festival stage, Everyday Outlaw brings an authenticity that’s impossible to fake — because they’ve lived every word they sing.

This isn’t country music for the polished or pristine. It’s for the weathered, the worn, and the wide awake at 2 a.m., staring down the truth and still standing tall.

Jake Zender brings a deep, commanding baritone, backed by Mark McCay on high harmonies and pedal steel, and Morgan Hargrave on telecaster leads and rhythm guitar. The rhythm section — Mike Young on drums and Cody Brouwers on bass — keeps everything tight and driving
