About this listen

It can be said running a business is like running a marathon however running a business or a marathon does not have to be grueling slog like that phrase infers.

Here we talk to Justin about his love of running itself as well as starting up a business in downtown Detroit before downtown started to regenerate.

Hear Justin talk honestly about business challenges and how his store has evolved from a fight to survive, to innovative sales and marketing techniques with Garmin watches 10 years ago, to now having the mission statement of aiming, "to inspire physical, mental and social well-being through movement and connection".

Run Detroit is more than just a store, it is a meeting place for people to come move and connect together and every Saturday morning at 8am there is a group run where people can chose to do 3, 6 or 10 miles. From newbies to experienced runners, come check out a Saturday run and meet Justin where he can answer any question for you......just don't ask him about movies as I found out!

Run Detroit is at 1948 Division st in the Eastern market in Detroit
