Nicht vor Menschenmassen auf dem Wiener Heldenplatz, sondern im Internet ging das "Fest der Freude" zum Weltkriegsende im Pandemiejahr 2020 Jahr über die Bühne. Zu Wort kamen via Video Zeitzeugen, Politiker und Vertreter der einstigen Alliierten, fand das Fest doch zum 75. Jahrestag des Endes des Zweiten Weltkriegs statt. Auch die Wiener Symphoniker ließen sich ihren jährlichen Musikbeitrag nicht nehmen. Die Schriftstellerin Julya Rabinowich sprach in ihrem Beitrag zum Thema „Besinnen und Verantwortung“.
