About this listen

Young Wallace Haralson rode a stick horse alongside his buddies. They galloped through the streets of Fort Payne and tied their steeds outside the DeKalb Theater before going in to watch a classic Western. As a teenager, he traded the stick horse for a car and delivered groceries to local residents. He would eventually go to law school and become a fourth-generation circuit judge, but the good times and life lessons of his upbringing never left him. In this episode of "Hometown Voices," Judge Haralson shares stories of life as a young boy in Fort Payne, Alabama, and how those experiences impacted his life.
