  • Touching Monday Episode 41 - Myrrh for a Sacrifice (Matthew 2:7-11)
    Dec 22 2025

Although the gifts the Magi brought to Jesus were not "traditional" in the way we might think of them, God has a purpose in these gifts, and each has a special aspect of who Jesus is. Particularly, myrrh is not something we would consider giving to a child, but it symbolizes the death Jesus would suffer to make salvation available to all mankind. So what can we apply in our own lives from this interesting gift? Join us as we discuss!

Reading through the portion of Jesus' birth in Matthew 2, we see some interesting, even strange, gifts given to the young child, Jesus, by the wise men. Today, we understand the value of gold, but what about frankincense? There is rich meaning and symbolism behind this prophetic gift! Join us as we talk about the gift of frankincense and what it might mean for us.

  • Touching Monday Episode 39 - Gold for a King (Matthew 2:1-12)
    Dec 8 2025

We understand that Christmas is a time of giving gifts. The example for this can be drawn from the wise men of Matthew 2 who brought gifts to Jesus following His birth. Think about what you have given to the Lord; is it your best, your most valuable, after all, He is well-deserving of our best! Thankfully, we do not give to Jesus or work for Jesus to have our sins forgiven and for salvation. Rather, we are privileged to give to God what is already His! Join us as we talk about the "Gifts of Christmas."
