About this listen

Jewish tradition is that sinat hinam, baseless hatred of one another was what led to the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. Two years ago, Israel was experiencing tremendous, perhaps unprecedented, disunity. After the October 7 Hamas attack and massacre, we experienced unprecedented unity. Today, Israel is torn and divided on many issues. But the issues are the symptom. The problem is deeper, relating to unconditional love, trust, respect, and listening. How to overcome them sometimes seem insurmountable. Rabbi David Fine and JJ Sussman help to unpack the core of the issues and how, through small steps, we can reach the ultimate goal of unity.
