About this listen

Jerry Koch is the author of “My Father, Myself - Letters, Mysteries, and Discoveries from World War II”. The book starts right off with: “When the telegram arrived”…announcing Jerry’s father had been killed on Okinawa. Jerry’s Mom took him aside to try and explain what this meant. Jerry said he did not understand the words…but certainly understood her tears. That traumatic event was one of his earliest memories of his Dad who he never knew…but discovered through research and boxes of memories and memorabilia from his father when he fought in World War II that Jerry’s mother passed on to him. Listen to Ed Greene talk with Jerry as he explains this journey on “KOA Q and A”.
