About this listen

Hello, friends!

It's been a little while, but it's a warmer than ever welcome to Episode 20 of Pause and Play it Forward from your hosts, Nicola and Rosie. It's fantastic to have you with us!

For Music Club this week we listened to legendary soul singer Bobby Womack's The Poet II (featuring the Godmother of Soul, Patti LaBelle) and treated ourselves to Volume 1 of American rapper and producer Guru's experimental series, Jazzmatazz.

After rummaging around the back of the sofa and finally finding the remote, we compiled a Top Five of tracks about Television. With a choice of artists that includes Blur, Gil Scott-Heron and IDLES you definitely will not want to switch off.

It's very likely our music memories and interests match yours. So please, pull up a chair or pop in your headphones and join in the chat with us.

Listen, like, subscribe, tell your mates, sing the bit of the song where you don't know the words or dance like everyone is actually watching - we'd really appreciate your support.

All the songs we talk about can be found on the Spotify playlist for this week here.

Contact us on our socials with your thoughts about any of the music we feature.

We're always up for suggestions for future Music Club albums or Top Five themes.
