  • JOE chats to Tadhg Hickey about the Gaza Flotilla and being kidnapped by the IDF
    Oct 13 2025

This is a chat between our very own Ross McCarney and Tadhg Hickey. Tadhg is a comedian and activist who has been very vocal on the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Tadhg most recently was on one of the flotillas that tried to bring aid into the occupied Gaza and was intercepted and arrested by the Israeli forces.

Along with five other Irish citizens, he was held in what he said was basically a Guantanamo-style prison, before they were eventually released and returned safely home to Dublin.

In this chat, Tadhg tells us about his time on the flotilla, the fear of being captured and the ongoing issues in Gaza and Palestine.

Listeners should be warned that this episode does contain topics that they might find disturbing.
