学生時代に教師が見せてくれた発展途上国の写真がきっかけでJICA海外協力隊に興味を持った浅井さん。ソロモン諸島の首都であるガダルカナルから約４００キロ離れたギゾ島にて、海外協力隊としての活動を行いつつ、現地の人とも積極的に文化交流をとられてきました。
