Am 3. Juli 2025 wurde endlich die Akte zu CIA-Agent George Joannides freigegeben. Unter seinem Tarnnamen "Howard Gebler" kontrollierte Joannides 1963 militante Exilkubaner, die Lee Harvey Oswald durch eine gestellte Schlägerei als Castro-freundlichen Kommunisten legendierten. Stunden nach dem Mord beauftragte Joannides die Exilkubaner, Oswald gegenüber der Presse als scheinbarer Castro-Aktivist zu denunzieren, womit die CIA von Anfang an die öffentliche Wahrnehmung manipulierte.
