About this listen

“Hip-hop fans, we’ve got the official numbers in for J. Cole’s seventh studio album, The Fall-Off. After its release on February 6, the highly anticipated project has officially landed at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. According to sales reports, The Fall-Off moved approximately 280,000 album-equivalent units in its first week — a massive number that confirms the album’s commercial impact.
Of those total units, around 167,000 came from streaming, with over 169 million on-demand streams across the full project. Pure album sales, including vinyl and CD purchases, contributed about 113,000 units, making this one of the strongest physical sales weeks for a hip-hop or R&B album in quite some time.
The success of The Fall-Off not only marks another chart-topping release for Cole but also showcases the enduring popularity of his music, even as he hints that this could be his last album.
Stay tuned for more updates on how this project continues to perform on the charts.”
