About this listen
Sometimes we confuse self pity as self Compassion.
Compassion is a dignified energy. It’s embracing and wise. It knows that it’s highly capable of healing people and situations. Compassion is merciful. Compassion is a possibility thinker.
Self-pity is like the zirconia diamond of compassion. It’s not real, but it looks close. Self-pity looks backwards, scans for blame. It seems interested in getting out of pain but… nope, not really.
In this episode, Danielle shares how she caught herself in a cycle of self-pity, and how she shifted toward compassion with one simple prayer.
Three days of focus turned into gentle optimism—and compassion emerged.
In this episode:
- The difference between self-pity and self-compassion
- Why self-pity feels soothing but blocks healing
- The prayer Danielle used to transform self-pity into resilience
