 In Post-Revolutionary Iran, female singers are only allowed to perform for either female audiences or as part of a choir. Yalda Yazdani has organised and curated the music festival "The Female Voice of Iran" at the Zeitgenössiche Oper in Berlin, where Iranian women singers from different ethnical backgrounds and traditions performed. Yalda Yazdani, ethnomusicologist and curator, shares her journey and her quest to make Iranian women singers heard.
