  • Anchor Points | Ep. 141 | The Best Gift You Can Give This Christmas (And It’s Already Paid For)
    Dec 24 2025

Who’s on your heart this Christmas?

Is there someone in your life you desperately want to know Jesus, but they seem completely uninterested or even hostile to faith?

You’re not alone. In today’s Anchor Point, Devin Almonte shares her own story of once mocking Christians… before becoming one. And she reminds us that no one is too far gone for the love of Christ.

We don’t have to argue someone into belief. Instead, we can live it out right in front of them.

In today’s Anchor Point, Devin explores:

    1. What helped her go from indifference to daily praise
    2. How we can live like Jesus, especially for those watching
    3. Why vision (not pressure) is the key to softening hearts
    4. A simple yet powerful way to reflect Christ this Christmas

    Scripture (NIV):

Luke 1:37 – “For no word from God will ever fail.”

  • Anchor Points | Ep. 140 | What a Broken Christmas Light Taught Me About Gratitude
    Dec 23 2025

Ever feel like you’re unraveling in December? Lights not working, time slipping, everyone around you grumpy… including you?

In today’s Anchor Point, Devin Almonte shares a simple moment in a grocery store that sparked a heart shift, reminding us how God gives us the eyes to see differently.

    In this episode, Devin explores:

    1. How busyness can rob our joy (even during the season of joy)
    2. Why we often notice others’ attitudes before our own
    3. How gratitude rewires our experience—anywhere, even in aisle 7
    4. A small moment of kindness that reminded her: God is in the details

    Scripture (NIV):

Psalm 100:4 – “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

  • Anchor Points | Ep. 139 I Couldn’t Keep It to Myself
    Dec 22 2025

Do you ever wonder if your “funny video” sharing is a little… too much?

Guilty as charged! Devin Almonte shares a moment with her kids that turned into a deeper reflection about why we share joy in the first place and how that connects to our faith.

In today’s Anchor Point, Devin explores:

    1. Why we instinctively share what brings us joy
    2. How the disciples modeled fearless, joy-filled sharing of the gospel
    3. What it means to speak freely about our faith—even when we’re unsure how it’ll be received

    Scripture (NIV):

Acts 4:20 – “We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

  • Anchor Points | Ep. 138 | When Your "Kindness" Is Actually Manipulation
    Dec 17 2025

Ever had someone do you a "favor" that was really just them getting what they wanted?

Like when someone takes your movie seat and acts like they're being generous by offering you a worse one?

That's not kindness. That's something else entirely.

Devin Almonte shares a hilarious (and convicting) story about reserved movie seats, manipulative "kindness," and the prayers we shouldn't actually pray. When someone sat in her carefully chosen seats and tried to spin it as doing her a favor, it revealed something we all do more than we'd like to admit.

We mask our self-interest as generosity. We bend situations to suit ourselves while wearing the costume of kindness. And sometimes, we even pray manipulative prayers asking God to punish people instead of seeking His heart.

In today's Anchor Point, Devin shares:

    • The movie seat incident that revealed manipulative kindness in action
    • How we disguise self-serving behavior as generosity
    • The difference between true Christmas kindness and fake kindness
    • Why our angry "prayers" for justice are often just disguised revenge requests

    Scripture (NIV):

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 – "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking."

💬 Want to talk about it more?

Quick poll: Would you call out someone sitting in your reserved movie seat, or just take a different seat?

Bonus question: What's a time someone did you a "favor" that really wasn't a favor at all?

  • Anchor Points | Ep. 137 | The One Thing Blocking Your Rescue
    Dec 16 2025

Ever feel like you're barely keeping your head above water?

Like you're drowning in responsibilities, expectations, and the exhausting work of just making it through another day?

Here's a question that might change everything: Are you letting anyone see you struggle?

Lifeguards don't rescue swimmers who look like they're doing fine. They rescue the ones who are visibly drowning. And yet, so many of us work overtime to appear like we have it all together, like we're managing just fine, like we don't need help.

But what if that's exactly what's keeping us from being rescued?

In today's Anchor Point, Devin explores:

    • Why we struggle to keep our heads above water in life
    • The lifeguard principle: rescue only comes when struggle is visible
    • How "doing it all" and appearing capable blocks our rescue
    • Why Christmas is the story of our Holy Lifeguard leaving His throne to save the drowning

    Scripture (NIV):

Matthew 11:28 – "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

💬 Want to talk about it more?

  • Anchor Points | Ep. 136 | You've Been in Prison This Whole Time
    Dec 15 2025

Have you ever thought you needed to "live a little" before fully surrendering to God?

Like maybe faith was something to save for later...after the fun years, after you've gotten it all out of your system?

That's exactly what today's Anchor Point is about.

Devin Almonte shares a lie many of us believe without even realizing it: that following Jesus means locking ourselves away, trading freedom for restriction, adventure for obligation. She shares a powerful moment from early in her sobriety when someone told her she was too young for recovery and should go "live" first.

But here's the truth she discovered: we've had it backward the whole time.

In today's Anchor Point, Devin unpacks:

    • Why we think surrender to God means giving up freedom
    • The dangerous advice to "live first, follow Jesus later"
    • How celebrities (and everyday people) delay Christ until life feels empty
    • The shocking reality: we're already in prison until we surrender

    Scripture (NIV):

John 8:36 – "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

💬 Want to talk about it more?

Does surrendering to Christ sound like freedom or like a cage?

  • The InSight Out Show | Ep. 135 | Full Circle Faith: A Christmas Story of Grace and Giving
    Dec 11 2025

What if the true gifts of Christmas don’t arrive wrapped under a tree, but unfold quietly on the side of a highway, through one decision to stop, turn around, and give?

We’re going back to a story shared on The Ellen Show back in 2017. One that begins with a man named Chris Wright… and a woman named TunDe Hector, walking alone with a gas can. It was a cold Sunday morning. He could’ve kept driving. But he didn’t. He turned around. He gave what he had. And that choice started a story only God could write.

    We’ll look at:

    • How one small act of kindness; giving a ride, a tank of gas, the only money in a wallet, can reflect the heart of Christmas
    • Why we often overlook “side‑of‑the‑road people,” and what happens when we choose to see them instead
    • How the story mirrors the visit of the Magi; outsiders, bearing gifts, following a star, responding to God’s invitation
    • How ordinary kindness becomes worship when offered in faith and love

    Scripture (NIV):

Matthew 25:40 – “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

  • Anchor Points | Ep. 134 | Why Your Soul’s Still Hungry
    Dec 10 2025

Ever feel like you’re running on empty and nothing seems to fill you?

In today’s Anchor Point, Devin Almonte shares a vivid high school memory of waiting all morning for lunch. That deep, physical hunger became a surprising metaphor for the spiritual hunger we often ignore or misdiagnose.

We binge distractions. We chase quick fixes. We consume everything but what our soul actually needs. And yet, Jesus offers us a better way: bread that truly satisfies.

    • Why spiritual hunger can go unnoticed until we’re totally depleted
    • How temporary fillers leave us longing for more
    • What it means to turn to Jesus as the bread of life

John 6:35 (NIV) — “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
