It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. And what is that which is coming? * The great tribulation of God: The 14 plagues (Rev. 8, 9, 16) * God shakes the power of heaven before Jesus comes through the clouds: (Mt. 24:29) * Then comes Jesus and gathers HIS elect, removing them from this earth. (Mt 24:30-31) * Last, God destroys this present heaven and earth. (II Peter 3:10-14) By thinking on these assured things, boasts concerning what we will do in the future might change considerably.
