Erin Boogie and Rapz are back with another episode of In The Field Radio, and this week the hosts were definitely side-questin’ heavy before diving into the biggest hip-hop headlines, new music, and industry conversations. 🎙️

Boogie kicked the week off by stepping outside her hip-hop bubble and hitting a hardcore show, while Rapz experienced a unique spin on the classics by catching ’90s hip-hop performed with live strings. This sets the tone for a conversation about different genres and live performances.

    Release Roundup: New Hip-Hop & R&B Drops

This week’s Release Roundup features major new music from some of the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B.

    • 50 Cent dropped the theme song for Power: Origins, taking lyrical shots at T.I. and his family.
    • The Queens legend also linked with Max B for a new track that had the internet talking.
    • Other notable drops came in the form of a Ty Dolla $ign album and Atlanta’s Travis Porter teaming up with super-producer Mike WiLL Made-It.
    • Meanwhile, fans of melodic rap got a posthumous collaboration from Juice WRLD and Marshmello.

    Baby Keem’s Surprise NYC Show

The internet went crazy when Baby Keem announced a last-minute surprise concert in New York City. After posting a link on X (formerly Twitter), the show sold out almost instantly.

Keem ran through records from his new album Ca$ino while also performing fan favorites like “Orange Soda,” “Stats,” “trademark usa,” and “MOSHPIT.” He even paused the show to premiere the video for “Good Flirts.” Rapz and Boogie reflect on how moments like this feel reminiscent of the pre-COVID era.

    Goldie Gets “In The Field”

Rising singer Goldie also pulled up to get In The Field this week to talk about her new project It’s Me Again. She discusses:

    • Collaborating with Don Q on “I’m A Problem”
    • Performing with Big Spanish on On The Radar Radio
    • Building her sound with producer Carl Martin

Since the episode dropped during Women's History Month, Goldie also opened up about the challenges women face in the music industry, how hard it can be to speak up and be heard. She closed the interview by shouting out the woman who had the biggest impact on her life.

From surprise concerts and new music releases to real conversations about the industry, this episode covers everything happening in hip-hop culture right now.
