The tank rolls on but some of the new young guns are starting to look mighty fine in the pro ranks. Specifically Matvei Gridin. He’s up to 11 points in his last 15 games and is putting up numbers few Flames teenage rookies have touched in the last 20 years. Today we’re checking in on his rookie season and getting stoked on what his elite talent could do for the Flames for years to come.

With eight games remaining the Flames find themselves STILL in a prime tank position (despite their little heater on the homestand). With a tough sked coming up (mostly on the road) we're crossing our fingers the boys can secure the bag and finish in the bottom three.

It's back to reality now for Flames fans but what an incredible 2 weeks of hockey. It was a tough loss for Team Canada in an unbelievably close game...but in the end it was meant to be for the Americans and we can't even be mad. That one was for Johnny.
