Sermon Title: For Such a Time as This

Text: Esther 4:12-14 NIV

“When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?””

‭‭

Main Idea: Esther’s courage to act on her dream of saving her people illustrates that God places us in strategic positions for His purposes.

INTRODUCTION: We are here on purpose for God's purpose!

"It’s not about you. The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness. -Rick Warren

Three things we learn from Esther:

1. The comfort zone is the dead zone. (Esther 4:12-13 NIV)

When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape.

‭‭

2. Inaction is action with a high cost. (Esther 4:14a NIV)

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.

"Action is the foundational key to all success." – Pablo Picasso

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." – Edmund Burke

3. God positions us for His purpose. (Esther 4:14b NIV)

And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

CONCLUSION: Bridge we exist for 'for such a time as this!
