In this episode I dive into some of the history of the bad relationship between the Jews of Jesus' time and the people of Samaria. This is more of an introduction to John chapter 4 as a large portion of the chapter focuses on Jesus' travel through Samaria, an encounter with a woman at a well, and many Samaritans coming to salvation in Jesus.

Understanding who the Samaritans are and why they and the Jews disliked each other is important background information for John 4. However, if diving deeper into this history isn't interesting for you, feel free to skip this episode. Verse by verse study of John 4 will begin next episode.
