An abandoned ghost town in southern Utah seemed like the perfect place for a group of high school friends obsessed with the paranormal. Hidden near old tribal land and surrounded by online rumors, the place already had a reputation before they ever arrived.

For three days, nothing happened.

Then on their final night, one friend came running back into camp claiming he’d seen a shadow figure near the tree line below the hill. Another swore he saw something animal-like rise up and move like a person before disappearing into the woods.

Most of the group refused to go any farther after that. But three of them followed the trail into the darkness anyway.

What they encountered in the trees sent them sprinting back toward camp in absolute terror—and when he finally looked back, something was still standing there watching them from the edge of the woods.
