About this listen
In this episode, I speak to something many of us never had words for.
How, early in life, we learned to leave our bodies in order to survive and how that way of coping, though adaptive, can later become a source of suffering.
This reflection explores what happens when we begin to gently return our attention to the body, to sensation, emotion, and the life force within us that was once suppressed or frozen. Not as a way to fix ourselves or get rid of feelings, but as a way of coming back into relationship with ourselves.
I speak about how feeling helps restore agency, boundaries, intuition, and a deeper sense of connection not only within ourselves, but with others and the world around us.
This piece is offered to my younger self, and to anyone who learned to survive by leaving their body.
