About this listen
Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, and his special guest Dorothy Little discuss how support for same-sex marriages has soared since the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriages in 2015. They especially focused on a survey that reported 48% of Generation Z identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual. These Bible scholars pointed out that homosexuality has been prominent in societies for centuries and pointed out that many historians feel that homosexuality and immorality contributed to the destruction of ancient societies. These Bible scholars then went to Romans chapter 1 to gain insight about what the widespread acceptance of what homosexuality means for the future of American society. Both Bible scholars had much to say about what Christians should be doing in response to the prevalence of immorality in America. They also had much to say about how Christians should be interacting and reaching out to the LGBTQ community. The podcast concludes by pointing out that God through the apostle Paul is asserting that widespread acceptance of homosexuality is a warning sign that society is in serious moral decline. The celebration of Easter reminds us that God is prepared to forgive us and give us the tools to fight against evil in our society.
