夏目漱石「倫敦塔」の朗読です。（1905年、明治38年）。1900～1902年の間、漱石が英国に留学した際に見物したロンドン塔に関しての紀行文。前編。
セピア色の歴史の幕の向こうに、ロンドン塔の歴史が紅茶の煙のようにゆらりと立ち上がります…
「トウキョウ」→塔橋。テムズ川のタワーブリッジのこと。
「ケットウ」→血塔。ロンドン塔のブラッディ・タワーのこと。1483年、幼き王子兄弟(エドワード5世とその弟)を幽閉した場所。
「ハクトウ」→白塔。天守閣にあたるホワイト・タワー。1399年、リチャード二世が幽閉された。

小説家、英文学者。「倫敦塔」は、帝国文学会の機関紙「帝国文学」に寄稿されたものである。
