Esta resolución se fundamenta en la Ley de Riesgos del Trabajo (L.R.T.) y la Ley de Higiene y Seguridad en el Trabajo, con el objetivo de prevenir riesgos laborales mediante la adopción de medidas técnicas y científicas para asegurar un ambiente de trabajo seguro. La normativa establece que el protocolo es de uso obligatorio para medir los niveles de iluminación, y los resultados obtenidos tendrán una validez de DOCE (12) meses.
