Il genere si rivela subito congeniale a Mozart per le implicite connotazioni teatrali nel rapporto, sempre più articolato, del solista con l’orchestra. Nei suoi ultimi anni salisburghesi nascono altri tre concerti per pianoforte, nonché i due curiosi quanto felici “esperimenti” di un concerto per due pianoforti e uno per tre pianoforti. Questo primo momento creativo si conclude con un capolavoro, nel quale si rivelano tutte le potenzialità di questa forma e la geniale originalità dell’autore: il Concerto in mi bemolle K.271 “Jeunhomme”.
