If you’ve ever seen duck on the menu of a California restaurant, chances are, that duck came from Reichardt Duck farm in Petaluma. This farm supplies all sorts of dining establishments—from Michelin-star restaurants like the French Laundry to Chinatown storefronts. In 2014, the Sheriff’s department raided the farm in response to horrific undercover footage. But, ultimately, authorities would decide to prosecute the activists seeking to save the sick and dying animals rather than the duck farm committing the atrocities.
