• Circumstances Don't Matter (Holiday Conspiracy: Why the Department of War Tracks Santa Every Christmas Eve)
    Dec 25 2025

    Send us a text

Welcome to a very merry episode of I Know I Sound Crazy!! We'll start off with my favorite Christmas traditions and my holiday hot takes (I'm sorry but I hate the Polar Express).

Then we'll move on to our manifestation topic of the week: circumstances don't matter. Like I'm sorry but I don't give an EFFFFF what's going on. You choose the reality you live in. Your current reality is just a reflection of your old thoughts.

Today's conspiracy is Christmas themed — but make it comforting.

We’re talking about the true story of how NORAD, the literal Department of War, accidentally became Santa’s official tracker, why this wasn’t planned, and how it perfectly proves the manifestation theory that other people don't have to believe it's going to happen, only you. A mistake, a military surveillance system, and one small choice to believe turned into decades of magic.

If you’ve been feeling stuck because things don’t look “right” yet, this episode is your reminder that your circumstances do not matter at all and you have the final say. Merry Christmas!!

  • Applying Meaning While Manifesting (Conspiracy: Camp Hero)
    Dec 17 2025

    Send us a text

This week on I Know I Sound Crazy, we start with a personal recap from my magical mountain weekend, and then we dive into the scandal in Charlotte, NC that has everyone shaken to their core. If you haven't heard of Sycamore Brewing, prepare to be horrified.

Then we dive into the manifestation concept of applying good meaning to circumstances — how the story you tell yourself about what’s happening might matter more than what’s actually happening.

Then it’s conspiracy time!! We head back to Montauk, and revisit Camp Hero, where there are rumors of MK Ultra, the infamous Montauk Chair, and alleged experiments on consciousness and reality itself. Finally, we tie it all back to last week’s episode with the Montauk Monster — the mysterious creature that washed ashore — and the alleged monster that materialized at Camp Hero and forced the whole lab to shut down.

  • Acting As If (Conspiracy: Plum Island and the Montauk Monster)
    Dec 10 2025

    Send us a text

This week on the pod, we’re diving straight into the Upside Down with a full Stranger Things recap—aka the worst season yet. We’re talking low stakes, Vecna's waist training routine, and the recasting of Holly Wheeler that still has us confused.

For our manifestation chat, we’re breaking down “acting as if”: what it really means, why it works, and how to step into the version of you who already has the life you’re calling in.

And for the Conspiracy of the Week… we’re going all the way out to sea. We’re talking Plum Island, the real life inspo for Stranger Things, and the whispers of secret experiments that took place there. You can't talk about this without including the infamous Montauk Monster that washed up on the beach and sparked a thousand theories. Was it a hoax, a lab-grown escapee, or something the government hoped we’d forget?

This episode is chaotic, a little woo-woo, and very fun!! Thanks for listening!

  • The Magical Practice of Gratitude & the Bridge of Incidents Explained (Conspiracy: What Happened to Natalie Wood?)
    Nov 26 2025

    Send us a text

This week’s episode is a Thanksgiving special, and I’m taking you through the full holiday experience: traditions, being born into a Turkey Trot family, and the annual fight with my sister while decorating the Christmas tree. From there, we jump into a pop culture recap. I’m talking about the strange behavior on the Wicked press tour, which leads to some commentary on the rise of eating disorders in pop culture and how the media is slipping back into that dangerous early-2000s diet culture mindset.

Then we switch gears and get into manifesting! I break down The Magic and the transformative practice of gratitude, and we talk about the bridge of incidents — how it unfolds, and why you have to stop being a control freak.

To close out the episode, the conspiracy of the week: the mysterious Thanksgiving-weekend death of Natalie Wood in 1981, a case filled with questions, contradictions, and a timeline that has never added up.

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for listening!

  • Choosing Happiness: Your Mindset Upgrade (Conspiracy: Britney Spears Update & The Real Life Black Mirror App)
    Nov 19 2025

    Send us a text

This week, I'm starting with a pop culture recap with a long-awaited Britney Spears update! Ladies and gentleman, I think we have proof of life!! A little Lily Allen recent album praise, some David Harbour slander, and then we’re ironically diving into our manifestation topic: choosing happiness on purpose. Faking it til you make it, focusing on what you want instead of what you don't want, and how gratitude truly changes everything. Lastly, I'm covering a new AI app that feels straight out of a Black Mirror episode. No seriously, there's an episode on this. It's from 2013.

  • Stranger Than Fiction (with Nicole Self)
    Oct 24 2024

    Send us a text

Welcome to I Know I Sound Crazy! I'm back from my sabbatical and feeling better than ever. Join me, your host, Ashelyn Galloway, and your sometimes host, Nicole Self, as we dive deeper into our journey of deconstructing faith. We’re back to yap about our past as devoted Christians and what that means for our beliefs today.

We touch on the many inconsistencies we're still finding across the religion, the No True Scotsman fallacy, and the particularly fascinating phenomenon of virgin births across cultures (Spoiler: Jesus is not the only religious figure to be born of a virgin birth. Who knew?).

Nicole also speaks candidly about the other side of grief, two years out from tragedy, which we hope will resonate with anyone seeking solace and understanding.

Whether you’re questioning your own beliefs, or just curious about the deconstruction process, this episode is for you. So say a prayer, or light your sage, and join us for a good yap session. Welcome back!!

  • Midnights Album Review from 2 Gaylors (with Jacob Street)

Back at it again with the one and only Jacob Street! Ya'll like him too much and it's giving him a big head. We start with an update on the Liberty University scandal, and add more commentary, because apparently after 3 full episodes on it, we still have more to say. We give some life updates and manifestation inspiration, as well as a much needed hot take, and then we crack open the White Claws and get into our Midnights review. Basically, I will stop believing she loved Karlie when she stops writing songs that imply it. Also, justice for Lana.
