About this listen

While God's Word is equally powerful for everyone who hears it, the condition of our hearts determines what kind of fruit it produces. Jesus describes four types of soil that represent different ways people receive God's Word: hardened hearts that reject it outright, shallow faith that withers under pressure, distracted hearts choked by life's cares and pleasures, and good soil that patiently holds fast to the Word.

But here's the good news for all who are anxious about what kind of soil they are: the same Word that diagnoses our spiritual condition is also the Word that transforms our hearts into good soil. What's most important is that we place ourselves where God's Word is being sown and allowing it to do its transforming work in us.
