On August 25, 2017, Hurricane Harvey, a formidable category 4 storm, made landfall on the Texas coast, profoundly impacting Houston and its surrounding areas. The hurricane left a devastating path of destruction and an unprecedented amount of rainfall, exceeding 50 inches. Motivated by a deep desire to help, I embarked on a 15-hour drive with my bass boat in tow to volunteer alongside the brave men and women of the South Eastern Houston Police Department (The Rock) Together, we embarked on numerous rescue missions, saving countless lives and animals amidst the chaos. The harrowing scenes of looting and gunfire are indelibly etched in my memory. This experience was both humbling and life-changing, and I am immensely proud to have stood shoulder to shoulder with South Eastern Houston PD (The Rock), who I now consider my brothers in service.
