In the early 60s there was an anthology horror released by American International Pictures. Around the same time Vincent Price was making his mark with the Corman pictures an Italian Director was given an opportunity to give his take on several classic horror tales and somehow got Boris Karloff to join in as the movie's host and star. We're going to the 80s for our 162nd show. You know we're all about Hidden Gems and there was some talk about doing Wishamster 2 for this podcast, since we had such a great time covering the original last show. But instead we decided to honour the director of Wishmaster 2 by covering another of his films. One of several he made for New Line Cinema back in the 80s. We've received a LOT of requests to cover this one over the years. Directed by F/X mogul Robert Kurtzman and produced by Wes Craven, this late 90s gem features a TON of 80s Horror Icons. Anyone who wanted an 'Expendables" version of Horror actors need look no further. This is what you want. Very few movies from this era had so many great practical effects. The Gore is superb.
