    Sometimes we find ourselves in a dark place.

    We all go through struggles with sin, the old darkness that tries to creep back into our new lives.

    In those times we need God to come with His wonderful light and keep us from giving in to temptation and despair.

    We need Him to forgive and restore us, and fill us with His love. We need Him to shine His light into the dark corners of our souls and illuminate every shadow.

    Remember what Jesus said – we read it in John chapter 8 – “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

    When you struggle with the old darkness, remember that you have a Father in heaven who loves you.

    Call out for help from the One whose light drives out the darkness. Lay claim to the forgiveness which was purchased for you on the cross by the powerful blood of Jesus.

  • Forever

    Psalm 107 tells us that God's love endures forever.

    The actual verse says, Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His love endures forever.

    Have you thought much about forever and how few things last forever?

    To think that the God of the universe has told us that His love will last forever…His love for us, His creation. People who reject Him…we ignore Him, we blame Him, we even curse Him, yet His love endures forever.

    If you grew up knowing this, it can be too familiar for us. But maybe you've never considered this or you've never known that if there is a God, that His love endures forever.

    I pray this sinks in for you today. His love for you will never end.

  • The Cornerstone

    The Cornerstone

    There is a house under construction in my neighborhood.

    The builders started by pouring a solid, level foundation. They then add the sturdy bones of the house. Without that solid foundation and the beams and joists, the whole thing would collapse.

    The Bible describes Jesus in a similar role. Jesus became the basis of our salvation, the foundation of our faith. He sacrificed Himself, making a way for us to be right with God, and bringing us into relationship with Him.

    Because of this, Jesus has become the cornerstone of the house He is building, and the Bible tells us we are living stones in that structure.

    You are joined in Christ to a huge structure of believers all over the world. This is His Church. What an honor to be a stone in that building!
