Isaiah declares that a people walking in darkness will see a great light. When the light comes it is the Son of God who comes to us not on our terms but on his terms. He comes as an infant and dies as a man, willingly giving his life to end our estrangement from God. Will we receive him as a gift given to us?

We live in the space between openness and rejection, security and vulnerability, knowing that relationships always come with the possibility of pain. In a time when AI can offer quick answers to our deepest questions, mystery can easily get pushed to the margins of our lives.
