About this listen

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games inspires Paul John Hausleben to do what he does best: tell us stories! For this podcast episode, PJH dons his famous goalie mask and as the not-so-world-famous #27 returns to the hockey crease to, once more, stand guard against hockey pucks! PJH borrows from his novels and books, and tells listeners stories of where he, as a young teenager, along with his best friends, Harry and Jeffrey first played street hockey on a dead-end street in Haledon, New Jersey and turned that dead-end street in the old neighborhood into a blessed and improvised hockey rink full of memories and fun. PJH then moves us to his own hockey career progression and shares stories along the way, of how it changed his life and challenged him to become who he was and who he eventually became on his life’s journey.

This is a podcast episode full of memories, nostalgia, and emotions; hockey fan or not, it is an episode to allow Paul to do what he does best: tell us stories!

Tune in and enjoy!
