Continuamos con un episodio más de la temporada sobre el INVO de Quetzaltenango Guatemala.
Luego de la expulsión de los jesuitas, varios de los profesores del Colegio San José Calasanz, dejaron de asistir y al mismo tiempo desapareció la Junta de Estudios por inasistencia de sus miembros. Ante la inconformidad de los padres de familia, el jefe político, don Pedro López Monzón, dispuso que los alumnos siguieran asistiendo, pero los profesores aduciendo diferentes razones ya no se presentaron. De una manera u otra se logró que las actividades empezaran a normalizarse y el 9 de enero de 1872 se halló establecido provisionalmente el Instituto Nacional.
