Este es el primer episodio de la temporada sobre el Instituto Normal para Varones de Occidente, de Quetzaltenango Guatemala. El establecimiento arriba el uno de julio de 2022 al sesquicentenario de su fundación. Por ello durante los diferentes episodios estaré compartiendo historia del Instituto, anécdotas narradas por exalumnos, breves biografías de graduados distinguidos y otros temas relacionados.
Los jesuitas en una de sus expediciones a Quetzaltenango llegaron a esta ciudad en 1857 y fueron expulsados en 1871.
