However, I was under the impression that with a paid subscription, third party ads would be a thing of the past. I usually don’t mind sponsors specific to the show as the host(s) and editor(s) tend to be able to make smooth transitions and keep it in a tone fitting the show. Third party ads are often disruptive, no matter where/when they are placed, especially the geospecific ads.
That’s why I’ve naturally migrated from the Apple Podcasts app to having YouTube Premium with videos playing in the background instead. That somehow seems cheaper than having a large amount of channel subscriptions through Podcasts in order to avoid third party ads.
