    "GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH..."

    With British attacks on the rise, the Second Virginia Assembly held an emergency session. PATRICK HENRY arrived in Richmond with a single goal. He rose from his seat with no notes in hand.

    “If we wish to be free, we must fight!” He shouted. “An appeal to arms, and to the God of Hosts is all that is left us. For the next gale that sweeps from the North will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms. Our brethren are already in the field. Why stand we here idle?!”

    Then came the legendary invocation that would echo across centuries: “I know not what course others may take; but as for me—give me liberty or give me death!”

    By a narrow but decisive margin (65 to 60!) Virginia voted to prepare for war.

    In that iconic lapboard church in Richmond, on that decisive day of March 23, 1775, American patriots arose from their slumber.

  • 54 - THE SLAVE WHO SAVED THE PILGRIMS | Squanto (Pawtuxet) | Plymouth Colony *THANKSGIVING SPECIAL*

    A Pilgrim child saw a naked figure watching their village from the trees. Some became afraid.

    Finally, as the Pilgrims worked near the edge of a clearing, a native man stepped calmly out of the woods and strolled easily towards them wearing nothing but a loincloth.

    What shocked them most was when he called out to them…in perfect English!

    The man’s name was SQUANTO. And his miraculous story was so impossible at first no one believed it.

    As well, Squanto had every right to hate these English Pilgrims. He could have left them to die, for he could see as he watched them that they didn’t know what they were doing.

    But Squanto took pity on them and made a monumental decision, one that would change the course of history. He chose to help them.

    And what happened next would not only save these struggling people, but more so provide a monumental miracle we celebrate today.

    It’s called Thanksgiving.

  • 53 - THE QUIET GENIUS WHO CRACKED JAPAN'S SECRETS | Capt. Joseph Rochefort (Cryptographer) | WWII

    It’s a true injustice when our illustrious heroes are purposely “cancelled” because of the too-common curse of professional jealousy and power politics.

    Sadly, it’s even more prevalent today and why a large majority of Americans no longer trust our media.

    For one of America’s finest cryptographers, a man who singlehandedly saved the US Navy’s Pacific Fleet and delivered the Japanese Navy to American dive bombers at the Battle of Midway, was actually punished for his life-saving accomplishments.

    His name was Captain Joseph J. Rochefort, a brilliant, yet soft-spoken Navy officer who preferred fuzzy slippers to regulation dress shoes and worked at all hours—sometimes 24/7—in his bathrobe.

    There, in what he called “the Dungeon,” “Station HYPO” at Pearl Harbor, he and his team successfully broke the rock-solid Japanese naval codes wide-open, turning the tide of war.

    This is his incredible, inspiring story.
