On this VIDEO episode of Southeast Iowa Today John Bain is back at the Henry County Courthouse in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. It’s Thursday, February 5, 2026, and it’s the first Thursday of the month and that means it’s department head meeting time with the Henry County Iowa Board of Supervisors. The Board stated they have not had a chance to discuss County Attorney Stater’s resignation. Other topics brought up included a pen camera in the ladies’ room of the courthouse and your podcast host asked the Board on behalf of his audience, the status of reimbursing Deputy Carlos Lopez his attorney fees as well as the status of the Green Dot Bank investigation into the stealing of the Sheriff’s paycheck.
